Epilepsy, A Love Story - BLOG UPDATE

Hello to all my readers! I just wanted to do this blog update since I have gotten rid of the "Updates" tab at the top of the blog. It was a little difficult for readers to find, so I figured all updates should be posted right here on the main blog. So here's what's new!!!

Epilepsy, A Love Story is a BRAND NEW Facebook page made by myself, in honor of all the couples in the entire world with a partner that suffers or suffered from Epilepsy. As I mention on the page, love itself is not an easy thing as it is. Something like Epilepsy can make it a whole lot harder. So I've found some amazing couples and I've interviewed them all for your pleasure in reading! My boyfriend, Rafael and I even did an interview for you all! All the interviews are posted right here on the blog, just like everything else. However, you can get a live feed of the interviews, videos, quotes, poems, photography, and much more by "Liking" the Facebook page! Be sure to check out the following interviews below, and stay tuned for the rest that are coming soon!

Stay tuned for Chris's interview next!

I also want to let everyone know that they are welcomed to participate in any of the following interviews by simply e-mailing MandyKrzywonski@Yahoo.com. Here are the interviews you can choose from, along with the requirements:

1. Married... with Epilepsy - See Tiffany & Chris's interview.

2. Dating... with Epilepsy - See mine and Rafael's interviews for a good idea of what you'll be covering.

3. Single... with Epilepsy - There is no interview up at the moment to show you, but this interview will require you to answer questions about past relationships and what it's like mingling as a person with Epilepsy. Is finding a partner harder?

4. A Love Story - Simply write your love story. This does not require two people, but only requires one. Tell us your story about you and your partner, how you met, and what your lives are like due to your/his/her Epilepsy. It can be as long as you want, must be spell-checked prior to sending. Also please include 3 pictures of you and your partner for the post with captions. You are welcomed to write about a past relationship.

Requirements (Excluding 'A Love Story'):

- Include four pictures total for Married/Dating. This would equal to 2 pictures per post. All pictures must be different than one another (no repeats) and be sure to add captions for each picture. Please send via e-mail.

- Please spell-check each piece before sending, and do not remove the numbered questions. I will edit anything left over, but it helps speed the process.

- Both partners must do an interview. These interviews are meant to be coupled.

- Please leave anything inappropriate out of the posts. This means we do not want to touch on any sexual factors, or anything you wouldn't want your own young children hearing/reading. Young children are a major part of my audience, and I intend to keep it that way.

- First names will be the only names used, so be sure to include them. Full names can be used if you wish. It's totally up to you.

- Please finish your interviews within 7 days max. Otherwise, please specify the amount of days you will need to me ahead of time. Everyone is on a schedule for posting in order for interviews to be coupled.

I am also accepting poetry, quotes, and pictures of artwork for the Facebook page and/or the blog!

Please send all of these things through e-mail. Make all pictures PNG/JPG for uploading quality, and all text in a Word Document or simply printed in the e-mail. Leave a name and info for artwork so I can prevent them from being stolen like this:

(See text on the image)

Thanks for reading and I hope to see future participation!

  1. Hi Mandy,
I have epilepsy. I "developed it" at age 46. I have a husband, whom, after reading your blog, verbally offered his thoughts on MARRIAGE and epilepsy; especially when it is sprung upon a couple after many years of "normal". If you like guest bloggers, I made him put it in writing. You are welcome to it!

  2. Thank you for that! If you're interested in the guest blogging program, simple send that to MandyKrzywonski@Yahoo.com. Keep in mind that I am booked for the month of February, but March is wide open and I will need guest blogs prepared for that month! So everything is appreciated. God bless!
