My Sister Can Drive - Driving and Epilepsy

My sister drove me to church today. No big deal, right?

I am a very positive person when it comes to these situations. However, there's nothing like the sting of watching your younger sister grab the car keys and drive you to church on Sunday. There's nothing like the sickness in your stomach when you see the happiness on your sister's face when your mother says "I need someone to go pick up dinner from the grocery store".

Relaxation and Epilepsy

What are you doing right now? You're obviously on your laptop, computer, iPad, etc... But do you consider this relaxing? Most people do consider browsing the internet a form of relaxation. Little do most Epileptics know, being online is quite the opposite of relaxation for the brain.

If you've driven around your town, you've probably noticed various locations where spas have opened up over the years. If you are anything like I used to be, you are probably wondering if maybe, just maybe, there's something to the whole "spa" idea. You've probably wondered if massages actually do anything for your health, whether it be good or bad.

How the VNS Has Changed My Life as a Person with Epilepsy

When I started this blog, about a year and a half ago, my intentions were to tell others all about the VNS device. After a month or so, the VNS started to blend in to my daily life as if it weren't even there; leading me to totally forgetting to write about it.
