It's 1:46 in the morning. Sitting here in my unmade bed, just got finished writing the paper of my lifetime about an hour and a half ago. It was a paper about Human Resources Development... APA style. I've never written in APA. Always MLA format, so you can imagine it was a shock to my poor freshman brain.
Luckily, my parents recently went back to school and graduated, so they were of great help to me. Even better, my mother works with HR each day at her work place, so she came in handy with all of my questions.
I'm personally just happy to be done and over with the whole assignment. This one paper made every other assignment look like a piece of cake... and feel like one too! I got three other assignments done within an hour after I had finished the paper. Not even joking... THREE other assignments!
Some of you may laugh, but I'm starting to miss high school. I'm starting to miss the simplicity of having a home school teacher. Gosh, how I loved them all so much. I wont use first names for privacy reasons, but I especially miss one teacher named Mrs. Fitzpatrick. She was so sweet and did her very best to help me understand everything. She answered every questions and provided examples and practice. It seemed hard at the time, but she really did help me so much. I could never thank her enough.
I also miss my lovely art teacher, Mrs. Mila. She never came to my home, but I saw her a few times a month for an entire day. She critiqued my paintings and gave me advice on how to fix my many screw-ups - or let me know that my pieces were amazing, and that some of my screw-ups were all in my head. She gave it to me straight, even if it was unpleasant. I never loved her less. She is such a dear friend of mine and I hope we stay in touch forever. I hope I stay in touch with all my teachers forever. It would be amazing to have someone help me the way they did. Especially when I need it most, like right now.
Anyhow, things are looking up. I know it will get easier as time goes on. I just have to hang in there. I've got a doctor's appointment on the 15th, so I'm hoping some good will come out of that. I also have Military Ball with my boyfriend on the 18th, which is also our anniversary, so I know that will be a good night! Oh yeah, and Valentine's Day on the 14th! What a packed week!
