Tiffany Kairos's International Prayer for Epilepsy on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/internationalprayerforepilepsy |
Here is my prayer, for the International Prayer for Epilepsy. Please bow your heads and join me in prayer, and let's prepare ourselves for a successful Epilepsy Awareness Month of 2011.
Father,
I don't have to explain because I know that you know how the millions and millions of us are suffering here on Earth with this terrible illness.
I ask that you please open the minds of the others around us, and open their hearts to donate and support our cause that needs much acknowledgement.
We keep in mind that other diseases and disorders are still important, but this month we hold focus and want to make a change and show others that we are just as important as well.
Please keep our minds still, and loving, and get rid of all hatred that may arise toward others who might get in the way or are not open to helping us.
Let us continue to love with a love like your own, and bring us to the cure that so many of us have been longing for.
We're suffering, father, but we know that you will not let us go on this way for long.
So please, father, prepare us for this battle.
Not only in this month of November, but in all days, months, and years to come.
Prepare us to be strong in times of weakness, illness, and fatigue.
Prepare us to be strong when we are shut down, held down, pushed away, or ignored.
Soften our hardened hearts, and strengthen our hands so that we can touch the hearts of many.
Strengthen our mouths so that we may speak the right words as advocates.
Strengthen our feet, so we may keep on walking when the road is rough.
Strengthen our bodies, and bless us with the gift of health.
Strengthen our mouths so that we may speak the right words as advocates.
Strengthen our feet, so we may keep on walking when the road is rough.
Strengthen our bodies, and bless us with the gift of health.
It's Epilepsy Awareness Month, and only you can bring us to victory.
Lord we are thankful for all that has been given to us by You.
Let us not forget all that we have been given by You, Father.
We are thankful even for this illness, as it gave us a chance to help others and speak Your name.
Although we wish to rid ourselves of this illness, help us to use it to our advantage and be strong advocates.
Father, you said to ask and we shall receive.
So Father, we are asking you now - stand with us in this great battle.
Bring us to find the cure we have been waiting for all of our lives, so we can be healthy and glorify You, Lord.
Help us continue to be advocates, even after our sickness has gone and we have been given Your blessing of health.
Bring us to find the cure we have been waiting for all of our lives, so we can be healthy and glorify You, Lord.
Help us continue to be advocates, even after our sickness has gone and we have been given Your blessing of health.
"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." - Romans 8:17-18
Amen.

Hi there, I have just come across your blog. I have recently been diagnosed with a functioning pituitary macroadenoma and I think I may have just had my first 'simple partial seizure'. Well maybe not my first as I have been having'abscences' but my endocrinologist doesn't think they are related. Thank you for your blog, it has given me a bit more ammo to take back to my endo! God be with you and take care. Bex
