Day #14 - Growing Pains

"My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Exodus 33:14

After a long hard night of studying, the last thing I wanted to do was wake up at 7:00am for a three hour homeschool class. God must have been pouring blessings into my cup today because my teacher decided to come at 2:30pm. This gave me plenty of rest... Which I was undoubtedly going to need. I heard bad news that I was not going to be able to complete my high school Algebra 2 class this year due to all of my health absences (and a teacher who loads me up with more work than I'm supposed to be getting as a homebound student). Finding this out stressed me to the point of tears. This is one of those days when you wish that you were someone else. Anybody else... Just not an Epileptic. Someone who was able to go to school for one full day and have the energy to keep up with the rest of their life. A normal
teenager. Growing up isn't easy for anyone.

I will admit that sometimes I am not always the Mandy that some of you might think I am. I don't always think 100% positive, though I do as often as possible. Sometimes when I lose my balance in life I just want to lie down and give up. There have been days where I laid in my bed and watched life around me go on as if I were invisible to those around me. However, I found that all I was doing was wasting precious moments of my life. I began to get closer to the When I feel this way I love to read Proverbs 3:5-6.

"Trust in The Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight".

Reading this verse helps keep me positive and focused on what God has already given me and I remember that God has a master plan for all of us. I know he'll pull me through somehow.

One of the best things about the past couple days is that I haven't had any migraines. I'm one of those people who have migraines daily, so realizing this a few hours ago completely had me shocked. I have heard that many people (in online blogs and other pages) had little to no migraines after being implanted with the VNS device. I'm really excited about this because for the first time in a year I haven't had a headache for more than 4 days. This is great news for me, so I wanted to share it with you all ASAP.

Some more great news is that Catherine A. Winn from "The Writing Room" has passed on the "You are My Sunshine" Supportive Comments Award to me! Catherine is a a very sweet lady who not only blogs, but writes books for children, along with craft, and mystery books for adults. She has been supportive to me from the start, and I want to thank her for taking the time to do this. It means a lot to me, so thank you Catherine!

I hope all my readers will be blessed and have a great night.
