I have been having some out-of-the-ordinary seizures. Here's two of the weirdest ones that I just had to share:
Jibber-Jabber Seizures
These are my favorite out of the few. Yes, they're scary as hell but they are so funny to hear about when everything is all over. It starts out basically the same as my tonic-clonic seizures. I get an aura, and I call for help. But when the person gets to me, I start speaking some language that sounds extremely similar to Arabic (no joke, I need to record one of these for all of you) for what seems like forever... Which is, in reality, about ten minutes. When all is said and done I kind of just lay in bed because I feel like my brain got scraped out of my head like a coconut.
Hugging Seizures
My victims have told me that I seem completely calm, yet super zoned out during these seizures. They start out with an aura as well, and I call for help as usual (it's like a reflex)... but when the person gets there and I'm having the seizure, I hug them and don't let go. Not like a scared, grabbing onto someone for dear life type of hug. Just a big fat hug! It is the weirdest thing in the world and what is odd is that I am aware of doing it but I can't let go even if I try. My body totally takes over. I think the weirdest one was at my best friend Jocy's house. I had just gotten out of the shower and I hardly had my towel on me all the way when I latched on to her. I don't know if she knew I was having a seizure because I seemed so calm from start to finish but I definitely wish I had more clothes on when it happened!
Other than what has been explained, I don't have any news to share. I'm still trying to fight the rest of these withdrawals. I did give in and take one Klonopin in the event of an emergency but it hasn't seemed to put me back at all. I'm very, very tired now rather than not being able to sleep. It seems like as the days pass I get more exhausted. So to say the least, I now have a normal sleeping schedule where I get sleepy at 11:00pm and wake up at 9:00am. Hopefully I lose the other symptoms within the next week or two as expected. I will be back to my blog in 5 days, so until then...
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!
