Spice Up Your Dinner!

If you've read my last blog, you saw how many peppers I picked at Wildseed Farms. When we got home, it suddenly crossed our minds that there is no way we would be able to eat all of those peppers! So we gave some away to friends, but we've been trying to incorporate the peppers in each of our dinners. Tonight's dinner was my favorite, so I thought I would post pictures. Basically the main course was lemon grilled chicken, an asparagus dish that included hot red peppers, mushrooms, and bacon (which makes everything better and less healthy...) and stuffed peppers with grilled sweet corn! Very delicious!

Today I went to the doctors to get my VNS calibrated and they turned the voltage up to 0.75 out of a possible 2.0... and it hurts so bad! Very uncomfortable :/ And when I talk I sound like I got kicked in the vocal cords and my family is making fun of me! We decided that we are also going to switch my medication Vimpat over to another medication called Felbatol which is supposedly one of the better drugs. I've just about had it with the Vimpat. It works very well for some people but it doesn't mix well with my body. I can't take anymore of the double vision and not being able to walk. So hopefully Felbatol is my "magic drug" until the VNS starts working. Pray that it works well!
I also apologize for not being able to keep up with all my follower's blogs. I've been so busy with school and doctors appointments that I barely have time for my own family. It helps that I'm single now (which doesn't make me all that happy, but oh well) because I don't have those extra dates each week. More time to study and clean the house. Not to mention that I make dinner for my family every night!
Anyway, let me know how Felbatol has worked for you if any of you have ever taken it before! God bless you all!

  1. Oh, you're making me hungry! And all those peppers in the last post were beautiful! I can see why you kept picking. :)

Don't worry about keeping up with blogs. You have more important things to do! (um, like cleaning and cooking? ha ha)

I hope your new meds work out for you. God bless, my dear.
